Arsenal will be anticipating that the November international holiday will alleviate several fitness concerns.

For the initial 11 matches of the Premier League season, as well as for games in the Champions League and Carabao Cup, Mikel Arteta has been compelled to address numerous injury concerns.

The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday, resulting in a nine-point deficit between themselves and Liverpool, the champions, following Liverpool’s victory over Aston Villa 24 hours prior.

Martin Odegaard returned to the Arsenal starting lineup for the stalemate with Chelsea, after missing 12 matches due to an ankle injury he sustained while playing for Norway in September.

Odegaard had previously made a late cameo appearance against Inter Milan in the Champions League a few days prior. However, in his first start since August, he played the entire 90 minutes against Chelsea.

However, it was confirmed on Tuesday that Odegaard would not be accompanying the Norway squad for the next fortnight. This is due to the fact that he is still in the process of regaining his fitness, as he has only recently returned from an ankle injury.

“I have undergone an extensive training regimen, and it is entirely natural to not be at one hundred percent when one has not played football in the past nine weeks,” Odegaard informed the Norwegian FA.

“I must adhere to my body’s signals, finish the rehabilitation process, and restore my foot to its optimal condition.” I have always aspired to participate in the national matches, and it would have been impossible for me to do so if I had not played the match against Chelsea on Sunday.

Arsenal’s anticipated lineups following the international holiday

Arsenal (4-4-2): Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Saka, Rice, Merino, Martinelli; Havertz, Jesus
