Arsenal is expected to reject a striker who meets Chelsea’s criteria, as Arteta prioritizes Osimhen and Toney.

Ben Jacobs doubts that Arsenal will acquire RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who has been connected with Chelsea, during the summer transfer window. This is because Mikel Arteta is seeking a player who is already well-established in the football world.

Sesko is included on the roster of multiple clubs in Europe and has been associated with Manchester United for the past two years.

RB Salzburg acquired the services of the 20-year-old player from NK Domzale, a Slovenian team, for a relatively low fee of €2.5 million in 2019. During his time in the Austrian Bundesliga, he managed to score 21 goals over a span of four years, which also included a temporary period playing for FC Liefering on loan.

Subsequently, he made the anticipated move to RB Leipzig in 2023, emulating the paths taken by Dominik Szoboszlai, Konrad Laimer, and other individuals.

Given Sesko’s impressive performance for Leipzig this season, scoring 11 goals in 33 matches after joining for €24m last July, it would not be unexpected for him to go to a larger club.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle United, and Arsenal are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the talented Slovenian prodigy, who has an outstanding record of scoring 10 goals in 25 appearances for his national team.

Reports indicate that Sesko has a release clause of £43 million, a highly attractive amount considering his current skill level and exceptional potential. Clubs could find themselves in a far worse situation by paying a significantly higher amount.

There are rumors circulating that Brentford is considering selling Ivan Toney for £100m, and Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen has a release clause of £112m. Therefore, Sesko appears to be an appealing choice for a price that can be considered quite reasonable in the current market.
