Breaking News: Man Utd slammed has finally ‘completed unnecessary’ decision as Amorim ‘blocks’ Aston Villa transfer

The move by INEOS to perhaps cut the funds for the Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association (MUDSA) is “completely unnecessary,” according to journalist David Ornstein.

In its most recent cost-cutting move, the Red Devils decided to terminate “a multi-million pound annual commitment” to Sir Alex Ferguson, it was announced in October.

During his nearly 27-year management tenure at Manchester United, the Scot won 38 trophies, including two European Cups and 13 Premier League crowns.

In an effort to place the club on a more stable financial foundation, INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have implemented a variety of cost-cutting initiatives, such as a redundancy program that will eliminate 250 positions from the workforce in all departments by the end of August.

Additionally, Mike Keegan, a journalist for the Daily Mail, stated earlier this week that Manchester United is “thinking of halving the budget they give to their disabled supporters’ association.”

In response to the news, On the Sky Sports Back Pages Podcast, journalist Ornstein of The Athletic stated: “Unfortunately, this narrative has terrible optics. As Mike notes in the story, no decision has been taken, so they may decide not to proceed.

However, the fact that they are thinking about it is not flattering. Unlike with investors, it will not be favourably received by the general people. Everything is on the table, in my opinion; nothing is being overlooked.

“At £2 million a year, Sir Alex Ferguson lost his position as ambassador. This feels like peanuts, really. It seems totally superfluous how much Manchester United has spent on staff, contracts, managerial severance, and unsuccessful transfers.

However, Old Trafford is having financial difficulties and is exploring all options. This feels strange, then. Even though they didn’t need it in public, they can feel that in private they should think about it.

Ruben Amorim, the new manager of Manchester United, is anticipated to “block” Harry Amass’s departure from Old Trafford to join Aston Villa, a Premier League opponent.

Although Amass has not yet made his first-team debut, Football Insider claims that there have been “concerns” that he “may find his path into the starting XI blocked with both Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui starting at left-back this season.”

Though Aston Villa “feel they can offer him a clearer pathway into their first-team, with their ambitious view for the future,” it is known that Manchester United “views Amass as a key player for the future.”

But according to United’s future plans, he is highly valued at Old Trafford, and Amorim’s presence is rumoured to have increased his prospects of making the first squad.

Amass is thought to be a better fit for the wing-back position than the temporary substitutes employed thus far this season, according to the Portuguese manager’s method.

“United doesn’t want to see him leave the club anytime soon because his rise from the academy has created a lot of excitement and expectation about his future.”
