According to reports, Scott McTominay, a prominent player for Manchester United, has reached an agreement to go to Galatasaray. However, the final decision on his future rests with Erik ten Hag. This summer, the Scottish midfielder has the potential to finalise an unexpected departure to the Turkish club.

McTominay played a crucial role under Ten Hag in the previous season, netting 10 goals in 43 games. Nevertheless, United must generate revenue to finance a significant expenditure during the upcoming summer transfer window. In this context, McTominay may become dispensable if a reasonable offer is presented.

As reported by Turkish publication A Spor, the 27-year-old has reached an agreement on a contract with Galatasaray worth £4.6 million per year. However, there are still some difficulties that the Turkish champions need to overcome in order to successfully complete their coup.

According to reports, Ten Hag will have the ultimate authority in deciding McTominay’s destiny. The Dutchman may opt to retain the academy graduate, whose adaptability and industriousness have rendered him a significant presence at Old Trafford.

Alternatively, Ten Hag may recognise that McTominay’s likely exit offers United few opportunities to obtain a substantial transfer fee for a player. Since McTominay emerged from United’s academy, the funds generated by his departure would also signify a net gain and enhance the club’s financial records.

Furthermore, it is asserted that Galatasaray has not yet reached an agreement with United on the transfer fee for McTominay. According to reports, the two teams have been engaged in prolonged conversations.

The Red Devils will need to recover some finances after already spending around £90m this summer. They outperformed Real Madrid in securing the acquisition of the highly-regarded French defender Leny Yoro from Lille. However, the 18-year-old is likely to be sidelined for a while due to a foot injury sustained during pre-season.

Ten Hag has bolstered his offensive lineup by acquiring Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna. The Dutch striker scored a total of 14 goals during his two-season tenure in Italy, following his transfer from Bayern Munich.

As reported by the Mirror, Manchester United are also nearing the completion of the transfer of Chido Obi-Martin, a talented young football player from Norway. The 16-year-old, who has previously played for England’s U16 team, declined a scholarship offer from Arsenal and is certain to transfer to Old Trafford.

Obi-Martin achieved an impressive feat by scoring an astounding 29 goals in just 17 U18 Premier League matches during the previous season. In a significant triumph over their Liverpool counterparts, he scored an impressive 10 goals for Arsenal’s U16s in a single game.
