Chelsea is seeking to strengthen their team for the next 2024/25 Premier League season. They ended last season in sixth place, just five points shy of securing a top-four position that would have granted them entry into the Champions League.

The newly appointed manager, Enzo Maresca, has already been provided with further support, including the Player of the Year from Leicester City. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Caleb Wiley, Renato Veiga, and Omari Kellyman are the names of individuals.

Chelsea may make additional alterations to their roster, as there are rumours of acquiring another striker and possibly a left-winger, as well as probable departures.

Latest updates on Chelsea’s player transfers
Recent sources from Football Insider indicate that Chelsea, along with Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United, are closely monitoring the performance of Crystal Palace’s standout player, Eberechi Eze.

According to the sources, Eze’s contract at Palace has a release clause of £60m. However, this option is subject to certain ‘complications’, such as a condition that depends on whether the buying club is in the Champions League or not.

Eze is lauded for his mesmerising ball control and his graceful movement across the pitch, as described by his Palace teammate Joel Ward. His average of 3.02 successful take-ons per 90 minutes demonstrates his skill at carrying the ball, combined with his average of 2.37 critical passes per 90 minutes, indicating that he is effective in producing results.

While Eze’s average of 0.18 assists per 90 is slightly lower than Kvaratskhelia’s 0.19, his performance in terms of progressive passes, critical passes, and passes into the penalty area is greater. This indicates that Eze has the ability to create a similar attacking threat as Osimhen.

Combining Eze’s imaginative passing and ability to create scoring opportunities with Osimhen’s impressive average of 3.73 shots per 90 minutes and 0.52 non-penalty goals per 90 minutes might potentially result in a significant number of goals for Chelsea.

Pairing Eze with Osimhen could also unlock even more for the 26-year-old Palace star, with extra attention being paid to the Nigerian striker, it would give Eze even more space to operate, and perhaps even unlock further his goal
