The Football Association is aware of news regarding the tragedy involving chanting.

A spokesperson from the Football Association (FA) has stated on X, previously referred to as Twitter, that they are aware of the reported incident involving offensive chanting during the FA Cup match between Manchester United and Liverpool. The FA will be in contact with and providing assistance to the Greater Manchester Police in this matter.

We vehemently denounce any insulting, derogatory, and discriminatory chants within football stadiums, and we are resolute in our efforts to eradicate this conduct.

“This behavior is completely unacceptable and can have long-lasting and harmful effects on individuals and communities involved in our sport.” The cessation of this behavior is imperative, and we endorse any club and its supporters who endeavor to eliminate it from the stadium stands.
