Liverpool and Arsenal might have a busy day on the day of the transfer deadline.
The Gunners are looking to sign a new forward before the transfer window closes, and they need to replace at least one custodian, if not two.

Federico Chiesa was signed by Liverpool on Thursday, but they are still keeping an eye out for opportunities on the last day of the transfer season.

Arsenal is reportedly considering a move for one of Liverpool’s targets, according to the Daily Mail.

Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United is a target for Arsenal.
One of Newcastle United’s most crucial players is Anthony Gordon.

In January 2023, the England international left Everton to join the Magpies. His Toon career got out to a rough start, but in the 2023–2024 campaign, he picked things up.

During the previous season, Gordon led Newcastle with 12 goals and 11 assists, drawing interest from several elite teams.

Arsenal is the most recent team to show interest in signing the 23-year-old winger, according to The Daily Mail, but it is unlikely that they will be able to do so before the transfer deadline.

Gordon is “set to stay” at St. James’ Park past tonight’s deadline, according to the report. Eddie Howe’s team has already had initial discussions with him over a potential contract extension.

The 23-year-old, who is on a list of players considered potential targets, is greatly admired by Edu, according to the source, and they may contact him next summer.

What will happen to Gordon in the upcoming months is still unknown.
