Global powerhouse Manchester United is looking to upend Rangers at Murrayfield by bringing back four talented players valued at £200 million.

After witnessing his team’s lifeless performance in the loss to Rosenborg, manager Erik Ten Hag was left fuming and promised more will be forthcoming in the future. In the glamorous friendly in Edinburgh, players like Marcus Rashford will return to action, and Jadon Sancho, Anthony, Andre Onana, and Scott McTominay will face Philippe Clement’s team. Encouraging by his new contract, Ten Hag is also very close to signing a £100 million two-year deal for Matthijs De Ligt and Leny Yoro, two defenders.

According to a fitness report posted on the official Manchester United website, “There was a youthful look to the United team that faced Rosenborg on Monday, with plenty of Academy players getting minutes in Norway.” Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and Jonny Evans were among the senior members of Ten Hag’s team that started the match; however, Erik switched about all ten outfield players during the second half.

After his successful Euro 2024 campaign with Scotland, Scott McTominay (returned) to Carrington on Wednesday. The midfield player may play on Saturday in his own country. Furthermore, players like Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Andre Onana stayed at the training ground and may contribute against Rangers. It seems unlikely that those on international service, such as Alejandro Garnacho and Lisandro Martinez, the winners of the Copa America, will return in time for this weekend.

After the defeat in Norway, Ten Hag became enraged and told his players they needed to get better fast because Rangers was their next opponent. “The result is not secondary,” he stated to MUTV. We do play preseason, of course, but at Man United, winning is expected, and losing is not. Thus, avoid losing the game in the final seconds of the match, as we did. Of course, the performance matters more, and ours wasn’t up to it.
