After making a backroom U-turn, Arsenal has reached out to manager Mikel Arteta to recruit a forward for £162,000 a week.

Despite Havertz’s form, Arteta is expected to sign a new striker at Arsenal.
After a sluggish start to life at the Emirates the previous season, Kai Havertz revitalised his debut year with Arsenal, making an impression in a makeshift striker role and finishing 2023–2024 with 14 goals and seven assists across all competitions.

Arsenal may grab the PL contract for the “marvellous” ace.
Since the beginning of the year, Havertz’s performance at Arsenal has been complimented, which may alarm Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian striker, given his poor 23/24 season marred by fitness concerns and general unimpressive play.

Last season, Havertz flourished under Arteta and won accolades, while Jesus missed 16 games for Arsenal due to injury. Jesus’ situation could get worse as there are still rumours that Arsenal wants to sign a striker before the summer transfer deadline.

Rumour has it that Arteta would welcome a striking partner for Havertz, and that the Spaniard would want a replacement for Jesus in the future. Earlier in this transfer window, Arsenal made an unsuccessful attempt to capture Benjamin Sesko, the sensation from RB Leipzig, who instead signed an extension with his current team.

Since then, Ajax forward Brian Brobbey and Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres have reportedly being considered as cheaper alternatives to Sesko.

Another high-profile target is Victor Osimhen of Napoli, who is widely predicted to depart from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium provided interested parties can work out a deal with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Supporters have urged Arsenal to submit a bid for Osimhen, as reporter Ben Jacobs stated earlier this year that the Gunners had a chance.

In February, Jacobs stated, “We still can’t rule out Arsenal in the race for Osimhen.”

Additionally, it is true that PSG has Osimhen very, very high on their list of goals and that they will have more money to spend as a result of Kylian Mbappe’s departure. The Premier League is still Osimhen’s first focus, which is good news for Chelsea and Arsenal, according to insiders. In terms of weekly compensation, Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG would all be pleased to provide him with roughly £250,000.
