CONFIRMED DEAL: Man United is “betting heavily” to recruit an attacker for £152,000 per week after a competing bid is turned down. Personally, I don’t mind because the player wants to join Manchester United.

The RB Leipzig playmaker Dani Olmo is drawing more and more attention from Manchester United every day. The athlete has made the decision to advance in his profession and is looking to sign with a premier European team this summer.

Man Utd is “betting heavily” to sign the Spanish Euros star this summer, according to today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo, after RB Leipzig turned down Barcelona’s initial proposal for the former La Masia star.

Yesterday, we reported on a story that Man Utd was prepared to reach “lucrative terms” in order to sign the 26-year-old this summer. The outstanding Spaniard is also being pursued by Man City and Bayern Munich.

Olmo, who makes over £152,000 a week, was among the best players at the just finished European Championships. Despite initially taking a backseat to Barcelona’s Pedri, he ended up tied for the tournament’s top score.

Speaking of Barcelona, the Catalan powerhouses are eager to capture Olmo but their offer of €40 million + €20 million was turned down. Given that they are prepared to pay €62 million for Nico Williams this summer, RB Leipzig is reportedly doubting the Spanish team’s dedication to its player.

Man Utd is making a strong bid in such a situation and would be wise to bring in a player with the profile of Olmo, one of the most adaptable attackers available.

The adaptable Spaniard feels most at ease playing from the left side of the attack, but he prefers to play in the No. 10 position.

Should Erik ten Hag want to cast Olmo in that role, he would provide Marcus Rashford with something different.

Taking everything into account, he would make a valuable addition to the team. As we stated yesterday, we are still unsure if he is a viable objective. How this situation plays out is something only time will tell.

Do you think Man Utd should hijack the acquisition of Dani Olmo by taking advantage of the standoff between Barca and Leipzig?
