Brayden Clarke, a 16-year-old star player for Wolves, is now a member of Arsenal.

The youthful Welsh athlete has agreed to become a first-year trainee on Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Clarke played a significant role in the Wales Under-17 team’s 2023 run to the European Championship finals. Since the early 1980s, they were the first Welsh team of that age to reach a major final.

The teenager has already participated in his first Gunners game. In the U18 Premier League on Saturday, Arsenal’s Under-18 team defeated Crystal Palace 8-3.

After relocating from the Midlands, Clarke wrote on Instagram about his excitement at joining the English Premier League’s top team.

“It’s time to begin a new chapter in my life.” In a social media post, he expressed gratitude to all those who have supported him throughout the journey. I also hope the future holds the best for each and every one of my Wolves teammates.

For a long time, people have claimed that Arsenal’s school is among the best in the nation. Hale End produced stars such as Emile Smith-Rowe, Joe Willock, and Bukayo Saka.

Arteta has expressed in the past that having a steady stream of young players can be crucial, and he is very eager to assist the Gunners’ next generation of talented players.

He claimed to have known about our academy because he played here back in 2021.

I had played with a few of them, and some of their skills had already been demonstrated. Raising athletes is ingrained in our identity.

“Our coaches teach those players so well that they deserve all the praise, and we have a great academy.”

“And then, just like anyone else, they require opportunities and playing time to demonstrate their ability at that caliber.”
