Chelsea has been consistently associated with a substantial number of players this summer, conducting significant business throughout the ongoing transfer window.

The acquisition of a forward player is still a priority for them. Following the collapse of the agreement for Samu Omorodion, the Blues unexpectedly expressed their desire to secure the services of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on a permanent basis.

According to Portuguese publication O Jogo (cited by The Sun), Chelsea has made a £56 million offer to Atletico Madrid. £30 million of this amount would be paid immediately, while the remaining money will be paid in installments and is contingent upon the fulfillment of further conditions.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the player who was previously on loan at Chelsea has shown his approval for returning to Stamford Bridge by agreeing to the planned transfer.

The current negotiations between both parties are deemed important in facilitating Conor Gallagher’s signing by Los Rojiblancos, with Felix’s potential transfer to the Pensioners playing a pivotal role in this process.

An advantageous outcome for both Atletico and Chelsea
Atletico Madrid is interested in acquiring Conor Gallagher. However, their ability to sign him depends on their ability to generate further finances, as they have already made a significant investment in Julian Alvarez.

One way to achieve this is by offloading Joao Felix, who would be a fantastic acquisition for Chelsea. In return, the Spanish team may potentially generate a substantial sum by selling the Portuguese player.

Chelsea’s decision to sell Gallagher will mitigate the potential consequences of violating the Premier League’s Profitability & Sustainability Rules. Conversely, their acquisition of Felix will allow them to bring back an exceptional player.

Since Felix has expressed his approval to join Chelsea, it can be assumed that negotiating personal terms will not be an issue. The only remaining matter is reaching an agreement with Atletico Madrid over the transfer payments.

Considering that the ex-Benfica standout is not expected to play a significant role in Diego Simeone’s strategy, he may be transferred to Chelsea, while Gallagher moves in the opposite direction, although in a separate agreement.
