Erik ten Hag has directed a jab at Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho following disagreements with the trio during his tenure at Manchester United.

After a subpar start to the season, United terminated Ten Hag’s tenure in October. His final match as manager of the Red Devils was a loss to West Ham.

The Dutchman managed 128 United games, achieving a 55% win ratio by winning 70, drawing 23, and losing 35.

Ten Hag was the recipient of both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup during his tenure. However, his poor league performance and a style of play that was frequently criticised resulted in his dismissal.

Ten Hag was no stranger to confrontation at Old Trafford, and he had well-publicized issues with Ronaldo, Rashford, and Sancho. The latter was ostracised from the first-team environment after publishing a social media statement denying the former Ajax boss’ claims about his effort in training in a post-Arsenal press conference.

Ten Hag has disclosed that players are currently distinct and that they are offended by direct communication in his initial significant interview following his dismissal.

The BBC reports that he stated, “The generation in which I grew up had a much thicker skin,” on SEG Stories.

“You could be considerably more forthright.” I was approached in a more direct manner.

“I would demotivate my current team if I were to implement that strategy with them.” “If you do that to the current generation, they find it offensive.”

Ten Hag discloses his anticipated return date to employment.
Since United’s dismissal, Ten Hag has been associated with numerous job openings. The team has encountered numerous challenges under Ruben Amorim’s leadership and currently occupies the fifteenth position in the Premier League.

Nevertheless, the 55-year-old has declared that he will continue to relish a respite from management until July, as he is not interested in returning to the position during the season.

Ten Hag indicated that: “I’ve already decided not to take any job until the 1st of July, so until the start of the new season.”

Ten Hag also served as a warning to Amorim, emphasising that the club’s 13 Premier League titles necessitate exceedingly high standards.

“We’ve had many highs at Man United, but as I always say: there is always room for improvement,” Ten Hag explained in detail.

“Good is not good enough.”
