Erik Ten Hag delivers significant injury update to Lenny Yoro following Man United’s twin injury setback.
Following an injury setback to summer acquisition Leny Yoro during Tuesday night’s preseason friendly defeat against Arsenal, Erik ten Hag has encouraged Manchester United to maintain a positive outlook.

The victory of the Red Devils over Real Madrid earlier this month to secure the highest-rated teenage defender in Europe was a momentous achievement.

Lenny Yoro, a previous player for Lille, displayed a remarkable performance during his first appearance for Rangers last week. However, he encountered difficulties when facing Gabriel Jesus on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

In the end, Rasmus Hojlund’s goal in the early stages of the game gave his team a 1-0 lead, causing Yoro to leave the pitch shortly after 30 minutes.

The Denmark international, himself, also had an injury shortly after scoring the first goal, but Ten Hag is optimistic that both players have only sustained minor injuries.

He stated that the current information is insufficient to determine the extent of their injuries, and it is necessary to wait for more than 24 hours in order to obtain additional details.

‘We were particularly cautious with Leny [Yoro] as he barely attended 50% of the training sessions.’ He is required to devise a solution, but let’s maintain an optimistic outlook and observe the outcome.

Although they were defeated, Ten Hag found encouragement in the high quality of performance displayed by United, who made several changes in the second half. Eventually, they were overcome by Gabriel Martinelli’s beautifully executed winning goal.

‘I believe that the game reached a high standard for the third week of pre-season, with both teams performing well. However, in the first half, I felt that our squad was superior.’

‘We scored an excellent goal, with a superb pass from [Marcus] Rashford and a skilful move and finish by [Rasmus] Hojlund. I was quite satisfied.’

‘In addition, we generated further favourable opportunities and subsequently allowed a goal that was determined to be offside.’

‘The time period is brief, and our arrival in San Diego is swift. Therefore, we must make necessary arrangements for the team, ensuring their readiness. Additionally, we need to recuperate from our current situation and proceed forward on Thursday.’
