Erik ten Hag sends warning to Ruben Amorim in his first major interview since Man Utd sacking
Following his departure from Manchester United, Ruben Amorim was given a stern warning by Erik ten Hag in his first major interview since leaving the club.
Ten Hag’s time at Old Trafford came to an end in October 2024, following a loss to West Ham United at the London Stadium by a score of 2-1. This decision was the catalyst for Ten Hag’s departure.
In spite of the fact that United won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup during his tenure as manager, his team’s performance in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League was significantly below average, which ultimately led to him losing his position.
In response, United decided to hire Amorim as a replacement for Ten Hag after observing his remarkable performance at Sporting Clube de Portugal.
On the other hand, the forty-year-old has had a difficult beginning to his career, as United are currently ranked fifteenth in the Premier League table, 34 points behind Liverpool, who are the leaders.
The teaser for Ten Hag’s first major sit-down interview since leaving Old Trafford was published on social media on Monday morning. The interview will take place on Monday.
The teaser video gave the impression that Ten Hag was trying to warn Amorim about something.
A warning has been sent to Ruben Amorim by Erik ten Hag.
Someone overheard him saying, “At Manchester United, we’ve experienced a lot of success, but as I always say, there is always enough room for improvement.”
“Good is not good enough.” You can view the video that is provided below.
Another thing that Ten Hag disclosed was that if there is one thing that he misses about his position as manager of Manchester United, it would be Old Trafford.
Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, and Feyenoord were among the clubs that were rumoured to be interested in acquiring the 55-year-old manager. It was speculated that he would make a speedy return to management.
Ten Hag, on the other hand, announced that he would not be coming back to the dugout until the summer.
He concluded by saying: “I’ve already decided not to take any job until the 1st of July, so until the start of the new season.” On Tuesday, the complete interview is scheduled to be issued to the public.
In the meantime, Manchester United will be back in action in the Premier League this week when they host Ipswich Town at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
