“Everyone at Man united wants me out, even the fans want me out. I don’t know what I did to deserve this kind of treatment,” Man united young prodigy Mason Greenwood broke down in tears as he reveals the hidden truth behind his rift with Ten Hag that led to the club wanting him out.
It appears that Juventus is prepared to accede to Manchester United’s requests in order to sign Mason Greenwood as a permanent player.
In an attempt to capture the misfit forward (Mail Sport), the Serie A team is allegedly offering a bid of £40 million, which is in line with United’s stated asking price. Even if they haven’t made a formal proposal yet, there’s a growing chance that an agreement will be achieved in the next few days.
Since he was accused of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm in 2022—charges that were later dropped in 2023—Greenwood has not been on the pitch for the Red Devils.
The public outcry following the revelation of attempts to reintegrate him into the team over the previous summer compelled club executives to reverse course and declare that the 22-year-old will pursue his career outside of Old Trafford.
He thus finished his deadline-day trade to Getafe, where he was loaned out for the whole 2023–2024 campaign.
United prepared to approve Greenwood’s departure
Greenwood attracted interest from several European clubs, including Lazio, Borussia Dortmund, and, more recently, the Italian teams Napoli and Juventus, thanks to his eight goals and six assists in 33 La Liga appearances.
The latter are now in the “advanced stage” of negotiations with United, making them the first possible suitor to try to seal a deal.
