Just in time for the start of the new Premier League season, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, received a warning.

The Gunners will most likely compete for the championship in the 2024–2025 season.

The North Londoners have finished in second place in the Premier League for the past two seasons; in fact, they were only two points short on the final day of the 2023–2024 campaign.

While supporters of Arsenal are expecting that their team can overcome in the next season, ESPN’s Shaka Hislop thinks that if one player starts every game, it won’t be possible.

Kai Havertz is the reason why Arsenal has warned they won’t win the Premier League.
Over the past two seasons, Arsenal has proven that they are competitive enough to play with any Premier League team.

It won’t come as a surprise at all if Arteta’s team repeats their 2023–24 campaign record of being undefeated versus Manchester City and Liverpool.

Additionally, it is said that Arteta’s new top target is Mikel Merino, the winner of Spain’s Euro 2024 campaign, and that Arsenal is close to signing Riccardo Calafiori.

The addition of those two players will undoubtedly strengthen the Gunners, but Hislop thinks Arteta’s team still has one glaring hole in it.

Despite Kai Havertz’s outstanding plays at the top of the pitch for Arsenal, the analyst has stated that he simply isn’t sold on the German.

Hislop added that he didn’t think Jesus was talented enough to win Arsenal the championship.

He stated on ESPN FC: “It really comes down to Arsenal’s attacking options and although Havertz has occasionally shown up with goals at crucial junctures and games, I’m just not convinced that Havertz is the right striker to lead a team to the Premier League title.”

“I feel the same way about Gabriel Jesus, who I thought had a fantastic debut for Arsenal.” However, I believe that has decreased as a result of injuries, indicating a need there.

“So, that department still needs to be addressed.”

Arsenal may add two strikers before the August transfer deadline.
Arsenal is undoubtedly looking to bolster their offensive line.

Like Erling Haaland, Arteta is aware that he does not have a forward who can assure 20 or 25 goals per season. That may be the current difference between the Gunners and Manchester City.

As a result, the North Londoners have been associated with multiple strikers, and in the upcoming weeks, they may attempt to acquire one of them.

Arsenal is reportedly preparing to make a bid for Viktor Gyokeres as soon as Eddie Nketiah finishes his move to Marseille.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal may still try to sign Victor Osimhen this summer. The Nigerian has a burning desire to get out of Napoli before the window closes.

Osimhen and Gyokeres are both excellent choices for Arsenal. In the upcoming weeks, it is unclear if the Gunners will pursue either of them.
