Glenn Hoddle offers his assessment of the striker Chelsea is interested in signing: “He will shine at Chelsea.”

If Victor Osimhen ever decides to move to an English club, Glenn Hoddle thinks he’ll do well in the Premier League.

Osimhen’s excellent finishing ability has helped him gain more recognition as a striker in recent seasons.

After scoring an incredible 26 goals for Napoli in the previous season, the 25-year-old assisted them in winning the Serie A championship. The fact that he hasn’t returned as well this season may be due to his brief injury that prevented him from playing for his country at the AFCON in January.

The Nigerian has scored 13 goals in 24 games this season, though, and elite European clubs are becoming more and more interested.

Hoddle has backed Osimhen to succeed in England if he chooses to play in the Premier League, and Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain are among the teams vying for his signature this summer.

“Looking at him, the style of him as well, he’s a Premier League player,” he said to TNT Sports. However, he is once again hungry. That’s the primary concern. I believe he’s back to his best right now.

“He has the desire to score goals, the hunger, and the mobility. That mindset is the main distinction.

Based on his previous performances, we can be sure that any club Osimhen chooses to join this summer will be getting a great player.

Osimhen has a £113 million release clause, which Chelsea may find challenging to fulfill in light of the team’s FFP standing.
