According to the Mexican publication Fox Sports, Tottenham Hotspur is scheduled to negotiate a contract to sign Feyenoord star Santiago Giménez this summer, but Arsenal will be a rival.

Archie Grey was acquired by Spurs from Leeds United during this transfer window to strengthen their engine room. They are also nearing an agreement to sign Min-Hyuk Yang, a promising player from South Korea, but it is unlikely that he would play for the senior team the next season.

According to rumours, Ange Postecoglou intends to sign additional players this summer, and the Australian manager appears to be eager to bolster his offensive unit.

Ivan Toney and Jonathan David are two of the names that have been connected to relocating to the recently restored White Hart Lane, but it seems like Giménez is also being considered.

Fox Sports reports that Tottenham is keen to sign the Mexican this summer, but they will have fierce competition from Arsenal, as the North London rivals are also interested. Atletico Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, and other teams present fierce rivalry for the dominant Premier League team.

According to the Mexican site, Giménez’s father and agent will fly to Europe in the coming days to hold talks with potential bidders. Neither Tottenham nor Arsenal have made a formal approach to recruit Giménez as of yet.

After returning from vacation and playing for his nation in the Copa America, the striker began the preseason with Feyenoord; nonetheless, a transfer may be imminent this summer.

The 23-year-old’s current deal has four years left on it; Transfermarkt values him at approximately £34 million. Feyenoord is therefore well-positioned to demand a high price in order to let their top player depart this summer.

After having a successful season in which he appeared in 30 Eredivisie games and scored 23 goals and registered six assists, the North American has made a major impact this season.

Therefore, should either team decide to acquire him, he might be a wise addition to Arsenal or Tottenham. But if Spurs and the Gunners square off over this deal during this transfer window, it will be interesting to watch who prevails in the end.
