It has surfaced that another Manchester United player has accepted a move away from Old Trafford this summer. This development might have significant ramifications for the balance of the transfer season.

United completes business, but exits are slow
Both Joshua Zirkzee, a striker, and Leny Yoro, a defender, were added by Erik ten Hag’s team this summer, and both are anticipated to contribute significantly to the team in the 2024–25 campaign.

They replace Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane, two free agents who left for free, and, providing they stay healthy, should give the Red Devils more depth in their team. They cost a combined £86 million.

The team is also hoping to bring in at least one midfield player this summer; they are apparently considering Manuel Ugarte as well as Real Sociedad midfielder and EURO 2024 champion Martin Zubimendi.

However, even after it was revealed at the close of the previous season that nearly every player at the club was for sale, departures have been gradual. Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, and Rasmus Hojlund were the only ones deemed untouchable; everyone else was free to depart for the appropriate fee.

These prices haven’t materialised; previously in the summer, Casemiro was connected to a move to Saudi Arabia, but no firm offer has surfaced. Meanwhile, Fulham is rumoured to be preparing a follow-up bid for Scott McTominay following the rejection of their initial one.

Players are still consenting to personal terms to go, though, and according to one rumour, Jadon Sancho did just that with French Champions PSG. He is also not alone in this.

Man Utd defender accepts West Ham’s offer.
After turning down a move to the London Stadium earlier in the summer, it is now rumoured that Aaron Wan-Bissaka has given the go-ahead to finalise a move to West Ham this summer.

In the final year of his £90,000-per-week contract at Old Trafford, the full-back—who cost £50 million when he signed at Crystal Palace—always seemed more likely to depart before the August 30 transfer deadline than to add to his 190 club appearances.

Football Insider is now claiming that a deal to join West Ham is almost finalised, as the defender has confirmed his desire to leave Old Trafford and go to the London Stadium.

The Hammers are “in advanced talks” about a transaction costing between £15 million and £20 million, they continue, adding that the Red Devils will suffer a significant loss on their original investment.

The news is fortunate for the Red Devils, who are waiting on Wan-Bissaka’s departure before making a move to sign fellow fullback Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. The Moroccan and Ten Hag, who previously collaborated at Ajax, have struck an agreement for the Moroccan to relocate to Old Trafford.

If everything goes according to plan, he will be West Ham’s fourth summer signing, after Max Kilman, Wes Foderingham, and gifted youngster Luis Guilherme.
