Ruud van Nistelrooy has departed Manchester United following his tenure as interim manager, according to the club.

Following the introduction of Ruben Amorim, Manchester United has released a statement regarding Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was one of four coaches to depart the organisation. The statement reads, “Manchester United can confirm that Ruud van Nistelrooy has departed the club.” Ruud returned to the club in the summer and has served as interim head coach for the past four matches.

“Ruud is and will always be a Manchester United legend.” We are appreciative of his dedication and the manner in which he has approached his responsibilities during his tenure with the club. He will always be warmly welcomed at Old Trafford.

“Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar, and Pieter Morel have also departed, and we extend our best wishes to them for the future.”

Van Nistelrooy performed exceptionally well during his interim tenure at the club, assisting the organisation in adjusting to the immediate repercussions of Erik ten Hag’s dismissal.

Let us now elucidate the rationale behind his departure…

Allow Ruben Amorim to establish his own crew.

The new head coach of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, must be granted the creative license to mould his backroom team as he sees appropriate.

Amorim would not select Van Nistelrooy as his ideal coaching staff if you provided him with a blank piece of paper and asked him to write it down. Instead, he would appoint his own team members. Consequently, why impose the former interim manager on him?

A complete crew of employees from Sporting, who have been instrumental in Amorim’s success, is being brought in. This was a contributing factor to the delay in negotiations with the Portuguese club.

Each of these individuals will be assigned a specific mission and brief. The inclusion of Van Nistelrooy would have resulted in the duplication of one of his staff members’ responsibilities and the complication of the setup.

Additionally, there is no rationale for establishing an additional position exclusively for Van Nistelrooy. This would have been financially unfeasible and would have undermined the harmony that existed behind the scenes. He would have felt like a mere accessory.

It would have been equally ineffective to reduce him to the role of “striker coach.” He has demonstrated his capacity to be significantly more than what he appears to be.
