“He’s the only good player Man United have and the best in the Premier League, all my teammates are afraid of facing him…But he’s just wasting his time at the club, he must join us if he really want to win trophies”: Man City superstar praises Man United player and urged him to leave the club

The Manchester City star is aware from past experience that unexpected goals may always happen when one of Manchester United’s most seasoned players on the pitch.

Consider the afternoon on a Sunday. Christian Eriksen of Manchester United darted in behind the opponents after a short throw-in caught them off guard. He ran onto a great backheel flick from his center-forward and controlled the ball superbly on his chest before volleying it into the bottom corner.

It might not have been sufficient to give Denmark the first advantage against Slovenia in their Euro 2024 group stage match. However, it will have undoubtedly made Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate sit up and take note before England’s showdown against the Scandinavians on Thursday night, which is the second matchday of the tournament.

Eriksen and Kyle Walker were teammates at Tottenham Hotspur; this evening’s reunion is anticipated in Frankfurt. The 32-year-old playmaker may not possess the same inventiveness as he did during his Spurs days, but the Man City right-back does not take Eriksen’s danger lightly.

Walker tells The Independent, “I think you have to give (Denmark) the level of respect that they deserve.” They have several players in the Premier League, of course.

“I played for Tottenham for several years alongside Christian Eriksen. Additionally, there are times when he can conjure up magic at the drop of a hat.

“We want the three points as much as we did the other night, so we go into the game fully focused. Hopefully, we can play a little bit better in the second half (versus Serbia) and the nerves will subside a little bit.”

After suffering a heart arrest three years prior, during which everyone in Europe prayed for his recovery, Eriksen made a triumphant comeback to the tournament scene with a goal that perfectly summed up his timeless elegance and quality.

That explains why Eriksen’s teammate for Denmark and the United, Rasmus Hojlund, calls him “world-class.”

Walker is thrilled to witness the former player for Ajax, Brentford, and Inter Milan performing at the highest level once more, following a period in which both his career and life were in grave danger.

“He is outstanding. Walker, who played for Man City in the FA Cup final last month that was defeated by Eriken’s United, continues, “It is a testament to him.”

“Obviously, as we both play for separate teams in Manchester, we occasionally run into each other and catch up.

“However, his actions and accomplishments following the tragic event simply demonstrate his character and true abilities.”

England vs. Denmark in Frankfurt
This summer, Eriksen’s future at the club is still up in the air. However, having made the most crucial passes at Euro 2024 thus far (seven so far), many teams on the continent will believe they can still benefit greatly from Eriksen’s extensive knowledge and skill.

Paul Parker, a former right-back for Manchester United, claims in an interview with Danish newspaper Tipsbladet that the goal he scored for Denmark “shows that his form for Manchester United was dragged down by those around him and by the state the club was in.”

He was able to finish right away because it was his first time touching the chest. It was similar to observing a central forward.

Parker, a two-time Premier League champion under Sir Alex Ferguson in the 1990s, continues, “I think he will say goodbye to Christian Eriksen if Ten Hag is allowed to move the team forward and bring in the players he wants.”

“He won’t be able to provide Christian Eriksen with the consistent playing time he requires. Naturally, Eriksen wants to play as much as he can before his playing career ends. He is one of those guys who requires care as he ages and needs to play frequently.

“We don’t need Christian Eriksen for United to advance,” they should refrain from saying.

And that’s not meant to belittle him since he is unquestionably one of the best players out there. I don’t use that label too often.

However, he has been a superb player.
