Arsenal has made significant progress during the past decade. From the intense competition for the Premier League championship to the less exciting position in the middle of the league standings. Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla have been replaced by Joel Campbell and Mikel Arteta in the midfield.

The past decade has been eventful for the Gunners, completing a full cycle and more. Among those who vanished into the ether are intriguing individuals, including Campbell himself. Yaya Sanogo is a player that many people may have forgotten about.

He is currently 31 years old. He has been a member of the Auxerre club for about 11 years. Despite having been a member of six different clubs, the Frenchman continues to play.

“Sanogo is a promising acquisition for our team,” Arsene Wenger had stated upon securing the signing of his compatriot. “His recent performances for Auxerre and the France Under-20 side have demonstrated his potential.”

“We eagerly anticipate Yaya’s arrival and his ongoing progress in his promising development.” Undoubtedly, he possesses immense potential for success in this domain.

He received a nomination for the 2013 Golden Ball, achieved a goal in only his second Champions League match for the club, and thereafter declined significantly. Sanogo’s stint in north London was marred by injury problems, resulting in him making only 20 appearances for Arsenal and scoring just one goal.
