“I will rather sell him to Chelsea…I haven’t forgotten what they did to us last year”: Barcelona reject Man United eye-watering offer for 21-year old superstar who have been described as the next Ronaldinho

Barcelona has decided not to sell Fermin Lopez this summer and has turned down Manchester United’s initial bid for the young player.

Given the number of names that have recently been connected to Old Trafford, it is no secret that the Red Devils are eager to improve their offensive options.

PSG’s Xavi Simons is a player of interest, as TEAMtalk has revealed, albeit for now a loan transfer appears more practical than a permanent one.

Although the Red Devils were unable to sign Lopez in their initial try, Man Utd is still considering him as an alternative.

Sport claims that Man Utd made an offer of €30 million (£25 million) for the Spanish playmaker, but Barcelona quickly turned down the offer.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder had a breakout season in La Liga last season, therefore the Spanish team doesn’t want to lose him.

He appeared in 31 league games in all last season, starting 14 of them. In that time, he scored eight goals, capping off an incredible 2023–2024 season.
