Stuart Robson, an ESPN analyst, recently offered his thoughts on the possibility of Arsenal and Real Madrid facing off in the Champions League.

Robson said that if Arsenal were to play Real Madrid, Jorginho might have to be benched because of Jude Bellingham’s threat in Madrid’s starting lineup.

Although Robson acknowledged Jorginho’s outstanding contributions to Arsenal’s recent victories, he questioned the sense of starting him against strong opponents like Real Madrid, especially with Bellingham in the mix.

Arsenal’s Champions League campaign was derailed by Porto, despite their encouraging performance in the Premier League.

Manager Mikel Arteta will be keen to create a miracle and take his team to the next round of the competition as they get ready for the pivotal second leg against the Portuguese team at the Emirates.

In the future, if Arsenal makes it further in the Champions League, they might play Real Madrid. Robson is upbeat about Arsenal’s chances of beating the Spanish powerhouses, but he also points out that Jorginho could face difficulties, especially against Bellingham in the midfield.

Thinking about the potential match, Robson expressed his viewpoint on ESPN, highlighting the importance of tactical choices, pointing out:

“Arteta would have to make a very important choice; it might not be the best strategy to play Jorginho against Bellingham.”

Arteta’s tactical acumen will be put to the test as Arsenal makes its way through the complexities of European competition; decisions like these could determine how their Champions League campaign turns out.
