Journalist tips Chelsea has finally sell £35m player to sign his replacement in the January transfer window

Chelsea made sure they had a full summer schedule to support their new boss as much as possible.

Many new players were given to Enzo Maresca, but only Jadon Sancho has established a consistent starting spot in the Premier League thus far.

Given the amount of money they spent on new players in the summer, one may assume that their January transfer window would be quiet.

When the chance to start again presents itself, there are a few players who have really failed to make the starting lineup and may be surplus to requirements.

This has been the situation for Benoit Badiashile thus far, as the Frenchman has not impressed in his few appearances this season.

Chelsea’s Benoit Badiashile was expected to depart.
Although the Blues were interested in signing him back in the summer, they were unable to come to an agreement that would have allowed him to depart.

The Chelsea Chronicle has received an exclusive prediction from journalist Graeme Bailey indicating that they will sell the Frenchman in January and simultaneously finalize an agreement to bring in a replacement.

“I think they’ll be active when the January window comes,” he stated. I believe Badiashile will leave and that a left-sided center back may be brought in.

“They’ll see what’s available, but I wouldn’t rule out a right-back.” I believe it’s more possible if we don’t see Reece James before January.

Levi Colwill is giving an excellent performance.
This season, Badiashile has had a very tough time pushing England international Levi Colwill out of the starting lineup because of the England player’s elevated play.

It’s reasonable to argue that this has happened incidentally because Mauricio Pochettino has been playing him in his more comfortable position rather than at left-back, as he had desired.

The Frenchman’s time at Stamford Bridge appears to be coming to an end after he joined the team for £35 million due to injuries and recent poor performance.
