Man City Fans Convinced Bernardo Silva is ‘Refusing to Pass’ to Teammate

Without a doubt, Manchester City has had a difficult season. Even with their 28 Premier League appearances, they might yet miss out on next season’s Champions League.

For the reigning champions, such a scenario would have been practically unimaginable, but after one more game, the Cityzens’ loss to Nottingham Forest drops them to fourth place in the league, just four points ahead of Bournemouth in ninth place.

With Callum Hudson-Odoi scoring the game’s lone goal in the 83rd minute, Pep Guardiola lost his ninth league game of the season, which is tied for the most he has ever experienced as manager. Many City players had a difficult day at work, with Phil Foden in particular having a difficult time.

Furthermore, it seems that senior player Bernardo Silva is refusing to pass to Januaury signing Omar Marmoush in video footage that has surfaced online.

On the pitch, Bernardo Silva ignores Omar Marmoush, as if he doesn’t want to pass to his new City teammate.

In a video that went viral following the loss and received nearly 400k views, Silva is shown in three instances with the ball at his feet but selects a different passing option even though Marmoush is available. While it is possible that this is merely a coincidence, the well-known saying goes, “Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern.” In addition, another video of Man City losing to Arsenal 5-1 was circulated online, in which Marmoush again runs in behind but Silva chooses to ignore him.

Fans Slam Silva’s Behaviour

“I was fuming”

Online fans appeared to believe the conspiracy after observing the pair’s recent playing patterns. As one fan put it: “Brooooo. Bernardo chose to play the safe pass to the KDB man while we were at the counter, and I was furious.

“I was literally screaming at him at one point,” someone wrote. I could see that Marmoush was attempting to say “pass the ball” even though I was seated at home.

An additional person said, “That second clip is crazy.” “He must not like marmoush because he does this frequently,” remarked a fourth. It always goes back and sideways.

Before one last admirer made the damning statement, “They all must hate him.”

Marmoush has had a decent start to life in England, despite the fact that his only goals—a league hat-trick against Newcastle United—came in the same match. Apart from that, in nine games across all competitions, the Egyptian has not registered or scored in any other games for the team.
