Man United and PSG are in advance talks to sign a star midfield player valued at £41 million as their confidence in completing the deal grows.
Kobbie Mainoo needs a holding midfielder to play beside him, and Manchester United is still eyeing the No. 6 player from Paris Saint-Germain.

In terms of valuation, some distance still exists. The player, who joined from Sporting CP just a year ago, is valued at €70 million by the Ligue 1 winners, but Manchester United now believes this is too much.

Despite speculations to the contrary, PSG club sources have informed us that no offers or suggestions have been made for Ugarte during the window.

We are aware of the perception, nevertheless, that a deal will be struck later on and for a lesser sum.

Ugarte is aiming to sign with the Old Trafford team after learning that PSG coach Luis Enrique will only give him limited playing time and that he shouldn’t have any issues with his personal terms.

Sofyan Amrabat is still a potential midfield target, but Fiorentina has not received any approaches as of yet. As previously mentioned, Adrien Rabiot of Juventus and Morten Hjulmand of Sporting CP are other targets.
