Dani Olmo is being pursued by Manchester United.
Manchester United is prepared to compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid in the pursuit of Dani Olmo.

The 25-year-old has had a relatively unproductive season for Red Bull Leipzig, with only 15 appearances for the Bundesliga team.

Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge that he has experienced both knee and joint problems during this season. Despite these challenges, Olmo has remarkably made three goals and four assists in total.

The dynamic winger possesses the ability to operate on both the right and left wings, as well as in the role of an attacking midfielder.

The player, who is expected to have a significant impact on Spain’s offensive strategy for Euro 2024, had previously been rumored to be transferring to Old Trafford.

In January 2023, The Peoples Person reported that Manchester United had been monitoring the player, while Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were also vying for his signature.

Initially, it seemed that Olmo was hesitant to agree to a new contract despite receiving offers from significantly larger clubs. However, in June of last year, he ultimately signed an extension with Leipzig, committing to stay with the club until 2027.

Fichajes have revived the speculation that the Spaniard may finally make a transfer to England or Spain, following years of rumors.

Olmo is highly regarded within the Camp Nou since he has seemingly captivated Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, with his skills and personality. According to the source, he has already played for the club at a younger age and is eager to transfer.

The financial instability of the Catalan powerhouse consistently attracts scrutiny, and Fichajes reports that other teams, including United, may seize the opportunity to take advantage of this vulnerability.

Barcelona is not the sole party interested in Dani Olmo. Other prominent clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, and Real Madrid have also shown interest in him. These clubs are closely monitoring Olmo’s situation and he is considered an appealing target for multiple teams. This could lead to intense competition for his signing in the upcoming transfer window.

From the standpoint of the Red Devils, the player would contribute international and European competition experience to a squad that lacks depth in the flank position and is likely to lose Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, and Anthony Martial in the upcoming summer.

Antony and Amad Diallo’s impressive performances against Liverpool have not resolved the uncertainty around their futures at the club. It is safe to speculate that INEOS is exploring options throughout Europe to acquire cost-effective wing depth, a role that Olmo would undoubtedly fulfill.
