Harry Maguire, a defender for Manchester United, is of the opinion that the team already possesses a player who can be considered the next Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham, aged 20, had demonstrated exceptional performance since his transfer to Real Madrid in the previous summer. Manchester United deeply regrets their inability to secure the signing of this talented English player, since he had chosen to join Borussia Dortmund in 2020.

Manchester United were eager to get the services of Bellingham while he was playing for Birmingham City. They went to the extent of inviting him to their training facilities in an attempt to persuade him that a transfer to Old Trafford would be ideal.

Nevertheless, their efforts were futile as Bellingham chose to relocate to Germany instead.

Although Manchester United cannot currently rely on the services of the Real Madrid star, Maguire feels they have a highly capable alternative in the form of Kobbie Mainoo.

What statements has Harry Maguire made?
During his time representing England internationally, Maguire addressed the media prior to the Three Lions’ next friendly match against Brazil on Saturday.

When questioned about his teammate Mainoo, the ex-Manchester United club captain expressed his astonishment at the fact that Mainoo, who is just 18 years old, displays a remarkable level of maturity. He has some resemblance to Jude [Bellingham] during his early childhood. He possesses a mature and wise mindset. I had no apprehensions.

“I consistently observe his proficiency during training sessions.” His sole desire is to exert diligent effort and achieve success. I extended my congratulations to him, affirming that he truly deserved the recognition. I encouraged him to continue his efforts and advised him to ensure that he takes pleasure in his achievements.

He possesses all the necessary skills and is highly proficient in ball handling. He possesses remarkable strength and power, which is clearly evident in his development to fulfill the demands of his role, particularly for Manchester United.

Mainoo received his first call-up to England’s senior national squad last week and has the potential to make his international debut against Brazil on Saturday evening.

The 18-year-old has participated in 20 matches for Manchester United this season, achieving a total of two goals.
