Man Utd receive another harsh penalty for failing to qualify for the Champions League

As per the terms of their new Adidas contract, Manchester United will be fined each time they miss out on Champions League qualification.

The incredible £750 million 10-year contract that Man United originally signed is set to expire next year.

However, the team will begin wearing new Adidas uniforms in 2025.

The Times claims that the clause will take effect as soon as the new agreement is signed.

In accordance with the new regulations, Man United will be fined a whopping £10 million every time they miss out on a Champions League spot.

Man United, who are now in sixth place in the Premier League standings, will not face consequences for participating in the Champions League this season even if they are not qualified for the tournament.

They are eight points behind Aston Villa, who are in fourth place.

However, depending on coefficient rankings, fifth place might earn a Champions League spot.

Erik ten Hag’s team currently trails fifth-place Tottenham by six points.

Last year, Man United and Adidas came to an agreement on a 10-year contract worth an incredible £900 million, which is the largest apparel deal in Premier League history.

Adidas and Manchester United Football Club are thrilled to announce the continuation of one of the most exciting and influential partnerships in global sports, according to a statement.

“Manchester United, reunited after 23 years, began a historic agreement with adidas at the beginning of the 2015–16 season.

“In the seasons that have come after, adidas and Manchester United have enthralled supporters worldwide with visionary projects, recognizable designs on the field, and beloved culturewear off it.
