Breaking News: Man Utd star Alejandro Garnacho filmed mocking top-four rival with two team-mates

Alejandro Garnacho doesn’t seem to have forgotten a contentious moment from a recent Manchester United game.

Alejandro Garnacho appears to be making fun of Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz’s celebration with Willy Kambwala and Amad Diallo in a training video that Manchester United has released. Luiz equalized against United in February and gave an impressive shimmy, but the 2-1 loss at Villa Park proved to be too soon.

Before Villa took control of the game in the seventeenth minute, Rasmus Hojlund was the fastest to react in the box and put the visitors ahead.

Midway through the second half, Luiz capitalized on his dominance by turning a cross into the goal. He then took a knee and shimmy with his chest in front of the jubilant Holte End.

But Scott McTominay’s header in the 86th minute sealed the victory for United, handing Luiz and Villa their third straight home loss across all competitions.

Following the stunning outcome in the top-four match, the Brazilian midfielder was the target of jeers on social media, with many believing it was revenge for his seemingly arrogant celebration.

An old video from a practice at United’s Carrington training base suggests that it has also stuck with some of Erik ten Hag’s team.

In the eight-second clip, Garnacho can be seen rejoicing behind Darren Fletcher, who is cheering him on, before he takes a knee and imitates Luiz’s chest sway.

After that, the camera pans to Amad and Kambwala, two other young players who imitated the 19-year-old winger’s move.

With nine Premier League games remaining, Villa is currently in fourth place, so Luiz will, for the time being, be having the last laugh.

Despite playing an extra game, Unai Emery’s team leads United by nine points. However, their most recent victory came at West Ham United.

Between the two teams, Tottenham Hotspur is six points better than United in fifth place, which might be sufficient to qualify for the Champions League.

The Red Devils’ remaining ten games still include trips to Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion as well as home games against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle United.

Ten Hag’s tenure in the Old Trafford dugout may be contingent upon the team’s ability to qualify for the Champions League the following year.

With last Sunday’s exciting 4-3 quarterfinal win over Liverpool and semi-final draw against Coventry City, United’s hopes of winning a 13th FA Cup remain alive.

Ten Hag needs to start a string of successful games before May because Louis van Gaal felt that accomplishment was insufficient in 2016, a year in which his team’s league performance fell short of expectations.
