Mark Goldbridge, a devoted fan of Manchester United, has taken to social media to express his disapproval of the club after gaining knowledge of the statements made by a top INEOS chief to employees when they were terminated.

An official statement was issued by United on Monday, in which they announced their intention to transform the club in order to improve their financial stability and bring them closer to the point where they can once again compete for trophies on a regular basis.

In conjunction with the statement, the club has stated that they anticipate the elimination of between 150 and 200 jobs within the next few months. This summer, there were 250 employees who were laid off from their jobs.

Following on from the news, a number of additional details regarding exactly what is going on behind the scenes at United have surfaced, and the most recent report has left Goldbridge in a state of rage.

Just thirty minutes before the announcement of the transformation plan, the CEO of United held a meeting with club staff, according to a report that was published on Tuesday morning by Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic.

The meeting is said to have lasted between twenty minutes and half an hour, and although Berrada did not confirm that between one hundred and two hundred jobs could be eliminated until a later email, he did explain that the new measures had been calculated under the assumption that United would qualify for the Europa League for the next four years.

In response to the shocking report, Goldbridge posted the following on X: “Berrada is telling staff that they are losing their jobs because they expect to be in Europa for the next four years!!! What is the point at which supporters begin to act in the same manner as Liverpool did when their club’s owners were destroying it?

Despite the fact that Goldbridge and a large number of other fans are outraged by the prospect of United competing in the Europa League rather than the Champions League for the foreseeable future, the fact that United is currently ranked 15th in the Premier League suggests that things could end up being a great deal worse at United.

In order for Ruben Amorim to fulfil their goal of qualifying for the Europa League in the following season, it is highly likely that they will have to rely on winning the FA Cup once more.

In the meantime, if United were to win the current Europa League, it would give them the opportunity to compete in the Champions League again the following year.

During his press conference that took place prior to the match against Ipswich Town on Wednesday, Amorim voiced his concern regarding the redundancies by stating, “We have to address all the problems in the club.” How we got ourselves into this predicament is an important aspect to consider.

“It has a lot to do with the fact that the team has not been very successful.” To put it simply, we are the club’s core. All I want is for the team to get better and for us to be successful.
