“Sterling message to fans” – Raheem Sterling sends ‘brilliant’ message to Chelsea fans

“A heartfelt letter to fans” Raheem Sterling tells Chelsea supporters that they are “brilliant.”

After Chelsea defeated Leicester, Raheem Sterling raised his hands and expressed his regret to the Chelsea supporters.

In the FA Cup quarterfinals, the Blues defeated the Foxes 4-2 on Saturday, but the home team’s victory was not as clear-cut as the result would indicate.

In particular, Sterling struggled, missing a penalty and sending a free kick high over the goal and into the stands, the latter of which prompted jeers from some home supporters.

Callum Doyle, a defender for Leicester, was dismissed in the 73rd minute for clipping Nicolas Jackson in the box when the latter was clear-cut through on goal.

Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke, who had just replaced Sterling, scored two late goals in extra time as the Blues took advantage of the depleted Foxes to guarantee their place in the semi-final.

After the game, Sterling celebrated his team’s advancement into the next round on Instagram, not hiding from his mistakes.

He wrote “Wembley Bound” beneath the pictures of himself from the game. “I apologize to all of the Chelsea supporters for the missed penalty.

“I’ll be back stronger than ever to support the team in winning and to never give up on the badge.”

On social media, Sterling’s teammates are now supporting him as well.

Under Sterling’s post, Chelsea player Cole Palmer wrote, “My brother. S*** happens no need to apologise gg.”

Ben Chilwell offered his encouragement as well, writing, “It’s football; it happens.” Thank you, brother, from all of us.

Other Chelsea players who showed their support for him in the comments included Trevoh Chalobah, Chukwuemeka, Jackson, Enzo Fernandez, Thiago Silva, Reece James, Robert Sanchez, and Chukwuemeka.

On April 20, the Blues will take on Manchester City in the FA Cup semifinals.

In the meantime, Coventry City, one of the other semi-finalists, defeated Wolves with a thrilling winner in the final seconds to complete a historic draw with Manchester United.
