Believe me He is Arteta’s hidden weapon for winning this League title; if Arteta makes a mistake and sells him, they should put the title out of their minds for the next ten years. If given the chance, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp claims that a player who Arsenal wants to release will win the league all by himself for Arteta.

Arsenal defeated Leyton Orient in a friendly match played behind closed doors thanks to a goal from Emile Smith Rowe.

To start their preseason campaign, Arsenal defeated the League One team 2-0, with Gabriel Jesus adding a goal to the score. Despite rumours that Smith Rowe, 23, is expected to leave before the summer transfer window closes, he performed as expected.

It’s unclear how much Smith Rowe will play on Arsenal’s preseason tour of the USA, which kicks off next weekend against Bournemouth and continues with matches against Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool. Among his admirers are Fulham and Crystal Palace; however, rumour has it that both teams’ bids were turned down because the Gunners value him at £35 million.

Last season, the midfielder only made three starts in the league because players like Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Kai Havertz were favoured. Smith Rowe did not start the friendly match versus Orient either, but after being introduced at halftime, he quickly made an impression.

The Gunners academy product, donning the captain’s armband, benefited from the hard work of Jesus, who had scored Arsenal’s first goal after combining with attack partner Eddie Nketiah, another player who is expected to depart. Ben White, the back-to-form Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey, skipper Odegaard, Fabio Vieira, and Reiss Nelson were among the other first-team players to appear.

Smith Rowe is now scheduled to travel to California with Arsenal’s first team, and he will be aboard the aircraft. Despite the Gunners manager’s desire for the 23-year-old to stay, Arteta has continuously pushed him to improve throughout competitions for spots.

“I was really impressed with Smith Rowe’s performance,” Arteta said of the player after giving him a start against Luton Town in April. We thought the game would work for us because he had been training so well.

“As a player, I adore him; I enjoy watching how he moves and changes direction. Without the ball, he was aggressive today and eager to get things done. He greatly contributed to our victory in the game and was tough to stop.
