Fabrizio Romano has verified that Real Betis has finalized a €6 million agreement for a player with whom Celtic had connections this summer.

With fewer than two weeks left in the summer transfer market, Celtic appear to be trying to sign up to five players before the September 1 deadline. One of these is a left back. The Hoops signed Kieran Tierney this summer as a free agent after his contract with Arsenal expired, but it is evident that they need to sign a cover option for him as well.

Greg Taylor would have been ideal for the post, but he chose to leave at the conclusion of his contract. The Hoops have yet to sign a cover option.

They did bring in Hayato Inamura. However, he appears to be completely out of Brendan Rodgers’ plans at the moment and will most certainly be loaned out before the transfer window shuts.

On the other hand, it appears that one of Celtic’s summer targets, a left-back, is no longer available. Yes, he is ready to make a move. In addition, he will be playing in green and white going forward. But it’ll be for Real Betis.

‘Here we go’: Real Betis agrees €6 million deal for Celtic-linked player
According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Betis has agreed to sign Nazinho as their new left back from Cercle Brugge. The deal is for €6 million, with add-ons and a sell-on clause.

Nazinho was strongly linked with a move to Celtic last month. Indeed, reports in Belgium suggested that he was on his way to Parkhead to join the Hoops.

But suddenly the rumors faded away totally. And if anyone was thinking they’d show up late in the window, that’s no longer a possibility.
