Fabrizio Romano claims that today is the day the Red Devils want to complete the signing of the two Bayern Munich players.

On the X, the renowned Italian journalist said:

“Wessair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt will be there on Monday; the plan is 100% confirmed.”

The Daily Mail of today reports that Man Utd have agreed to pay £55.8 million to sign De Ligt and Mazraoui.

The Bavarian pair are scheduled to arrive in Manchester today to finalise their moves from the Bundesliga team, according to the British news source.

But although Mazraoui’s signing is contingent on Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaving, De Ligt’s signing is anticipated to be simple.

In order to rejoin Erik ten Hag, the Moroccan international must wait for the English defender’s sale to be completed.

According to The Mail, Wan-Bissaka’s physical with West Ham was supposed to take place yesterday, but it has now been rescheduled for today. United is reportedly discussing a departure compensation for him.

Manchester United was defeated by Man City in the Community Shield match on the weekend, but they had already lost their past two preseason games against Liverpool and Arsenal.

For the Premier League opener against Fulham, Ten Hag will therefore need to assemble a stronger team and will be hoping to have both Mazraoui and De Ligt available.
