When Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim selects his first team, everyone will be watching.

Against Ipswich at Portman Road, Amorim is anticipated to use his preferred 3-4-3 shape, and his starting lineup will provide an indication of what the new United era will look like.

Leny Yoro, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, and Tyrell Malacia have all returned to training, which has given United a lift, but it’s unclear if they’ll be ready to start.

It is probable that Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui will start as the two wing-backs.

In the attack, Bruno Fernandes is expected to start alongside either Alejandro Garnacho or Marcus Rashford on either side of Rasmus Hojlund.

Godwill Kukonki, a 16-year-old defender, will be named by Amorim to the United team.

Before his first game as manager, Amorim stated, “We had some moments together, working in that indoor pitch [on] tactical work, because we have some guys coming back from injury.”

“We are prepared to play Ipswich, but we must manage the workload this week with some players from national teams [as well].”

“Luke is feeling fine, but we have to be careful because we have to build his fitness during games,” Amorim said of Shaw.

“I will take care of him because I think he’s a very good player, and I want players like him who are vital to our team for a long time, not just for a game.”

Onana; De Ligt, Evans, Martínez; Dalot, Ugarte, Eriksen, Mazraoui; Fernandes, Hojlund, Garnacho are the predicted Manchester United starting lineup (3-4-3).
