Arsenal agree to pay what Napoli want for Victor Osimhen but there’s a problem
The transfer controversy surrounding Victor Osimhen is heating up, and Arsenal is rumoured to be in the running for the player.
In addition to the fact that Riccardo Calafiori has already been acquired by the Gunners this summer, David Raya’s loan agreement has also been converted into a permanent one. Mikel Merino, who currently plays for Real Sociedad, is also on the verge of being acquired by Arsenal.
The Premier League runners-up have had a successful transfer window, but it appears that Arsenal are now ready to make a significant investment in order to get Osimhen, who is widely considered to be among the best attackers in the world.
In spite of this, there is a significant barrier that the Gunners need to overcome in order to successfully complete this transaction.
In their pursuit of Victor Osimhen, Arsenal must contend with a significant obstacle. Osimhen is recognised as one of the top number nines in the world of football.
The Nigerian is quick, powerful, and skilled in the air, and he is also quite clinical in front of the net. It is clear from his numbers over the years that he is also quite productive when he is in good physical condition.
It was widely anticipated that Osimhen would leave Napoli for a more prestigious club during the summer, but there has been no activity in this regard up until this point.
The reason for this is that his release clause, which is worth £113 million (Standard), has discouraged possible suitors.
Ilario Di Giovambattista of Radio Radio claims that Arsenal are now prepared to meet Napoli’s demands in order to sign Osimhen. This is according to the information that he has provided.
However, there is a significant issue, and that is PSG.
It has been disclosed by the journalist that Osimhen has reached an agreement with the French giants, who have promised him a higher salary than Arsenal would provide if he were to join them.
However, Arsenal’s bid to Napoli is larger than what Paris Saint-Germain is willing to spend for the player.
During an appearance on X, Giovambattista stated, “The Arsenal falls on Osimhen.” According to what has been reported on RadioRadioLoSport over the past several days, the English are interested in the Nigerian striker and want to fulfil the financial specifications of SSC Napoli.
On the other hand, Osimhen has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain, which guarantees him a wage that is much more than the one Arsenal offers him.
On the other hand, the French offer more to the player, while the English offer more to Napoli. Who is going to emerge victorious?
