Bad News: Man United confirm another huge injury blow before season starts, key player set to miss opening games

Luke Shaw’s injury has been confirmed by Man United, and the left-back will be out for some time.

Luke Shaw won’t be on the pitch during the first few weeks of the Premier League season.

For the second consecutive season, Manchester United Football Club has sustained more injuries during the preseason. Erik ten Hag is also under increasing pressure, especially as INEOS has made some excellent additions for the management.

It might be argued that Noussair Mazraoui’s acquisition comes at a perfect moment, since Luke Shaw is once again expected to miss time due to injury.

Before the season begins on Friday night, United disclosed the devastating injury to Shaw yesterday evening. The vital Red Devils star will miss the team’s first several games of the season due to a calf injury.

Shaw is currently “working hard” on his recovery, according to United, and he plans to rejoin the team during the first international break. To put it plainly, he plans to return on September 14th, which is around one month away.

Shaw became aware of the issue while practicing in the off-season. Both the player and the club are dealt a severe blow. Shaw is unable to stop it. Regretfully, following that terrible injury he sustained against PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League, it is just the way his body works. However, the management can only take so much of this.

United faces an issue because Shaw has a contract that expires in 2027. Even if they wanted to, the Red Devils would find it difficult to forget him come summertime.

Ten Hag deserves praise for realising that United cannot begin the campaign without making improvements in that section of the pitch. Mazraoui was therefore brought in because Tyrell Malacia is still unaccounted for.

In the early going of this season, I predict we’ll see a lot of Mazraoui, and Lisandro Martinez also performed admirably in the Community Shield matchup with Manchester City.
