Breaking Man Utd chiefs name two players who can bounce back under new boss Ruben Amorim
After being named Red Devils manager, Ruben Amorim is expected to lead Manchester United against Ipswich Town, and the club’s footballing leadership believes in him.
Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, will have to work with a smaller recruitment budget than his predecessor Erik ten Hag. Instead, he will have to focus on improving the players he already has.
Prior to his debut game as manager of the team this weekend against Ipswich Town, the 39-year-old is scheduled to begin training this week after arriving at Old Trafford. United’s managers already believe that Amorim can maximise the potential of expensive acquisitions like Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount.
Since coming to Manchester last week, the former Portugal midfielder has already met with technical director Jason Wilcox, sporting director Dan Ashworth, and chief executive Omar Berrada. According to the Telegraph, before making any final transfer plans, Amorim will be given time to evaluate his team and consider how they respond to his style.
Amorim has previously praised United’s leadership for having faith in him. The former coach of Sporting CP is pleased with the club’s strategy.
In his first interview, he stated, “Manchester United told me about their plans when they spoke to me, Omar.” “Being the first person selected to begin that route makes it a true privilege. It’s a big duty, then. However, you are thrilled and proud to be a part of that. And we are aware that if the club performs well and wins games, everything appears to be lot better, and fans begin to have faith in the new stadium and innovative concepts.”
“I felt a connection [with Berrada, Ashworth and Wilcox] and I felt we are in the same moment,” he stated. In the exclusive club, we wish to accomplish something unique. That, in my opinion, was a crucial aspect.
Due to the expiration of contracts for Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, and Jonny Evans, Old Trafford is expected to experience some turnover in the summer. The club has the option to extend each player’s contract, but decisions will need to be made on Harry Maguire and Amad Diallo, whose contracts are also about to expire.
But Amorim wants to get started right away. Youth will not be an excuse in the pursuit of success for Hojlund and other youthful teammates like Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
“I don’t want to say that we need time because we are a young team,” Amorim replied. “They’re ready. The pressures of playing for Manchester United are something they are ready to handle. Since they are here, they ought to be.
“We’ll try to win time with the games because we know it will take time. However, we must begin right away, fearlessly, and without considering that they are not accustomed to playing in this manner.”
