BREAKING NEWS: An agent has arrived in London to finalise a deal for a highly promising player with 18 goals and assists this season. An agreement is expected to be struck today, with an announcement forthcoming after the Brighton match.

During nearly every transfer window, Manchester United is associated with numerous players, and this winter window is no exception.

The Red Devils are reportedly seeking to strengthen the left wing-back position before to the deadline, and acquiring a new striker is also part of their plans.

Italian outlet Inter News 08 reports that Manchester United has shown interest in acquiring Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito, presently on loan at Spezia, following commendable performances in Serie B.

Ruben Amorim’s team is prepared to present a formal offer to acquire the 19-year-old, while the Italian club is unwilling to release him for less than £25.2m [€30m].

The Nerazzurri intend to retain him till after the summer and hope to include him in the Club World Cup, commencing in June this year.

However, if United successfully negotiate a deal for him first, they will need to revise their strategy.

Esposito has exhibited exceptional performance this season, netting nine goals and providing one assist in 17 Serie B appearances.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are the two center-forwards currently at United; nevertheless, the pair has not consistently delivered strong performances, and Amorim requires a prolific scorer.

Consequently, acquiring a new striker would be the prudent choice for the Red Devils. They might be better served acquiring an experienced player instead of a young prospect who may require time to develop in his career.
