Manchester United has been cautioned to anticipate a renewed proposal from Napoli for Alejandro Garnacho before to the conclusion of the January transfer window.

This week, MEN Sport reported that United declined a £40 million offer for Garnacho from the Serie A club, which aims to enhance its attacking capabilities. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia departed Napoli this week for £59 million, and Antonio Conte is eager to substitute him with the Argentinian player.

Nonetheless, United are resolutely adhering to their assessment of the forward’s value. They seek an offer exceeding £60 million prior to consenting to sell Garnacho during the January transfer window.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Garnacho is not actively seeking an exit, despite being omitted from the match against Manchester City and needing to adjust to a new 3-4-3 system introduced by Ruben Amorim. Nonetheless, Corriere Dello Sport reports that Napoli remains optimistic about acquiring Garnacho.

The Italian club asserts that a bid approximately £50 million is anticipated to be initiated shortly to assess the determination of the Reds. Nonetheless, it asserts that United will also dismiss this proposal as they intend to adhere to their assessment of the forward.

The sale of Garnacho would be especially advantageous for the Reds, given he is regarded as ‘pure profit’ under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). United incurred a minimal expense for the Argentine upon his transfer from Atletico Madrid in 2020.

Following his designation as untouchable throughout the summer, Garnacho has had that status rescinded as United seeks to enhance their roster.
