The transfer window for Manchester City seems to be getting underway, although maybe not for the best reasons.

Julian Alvarez, an Argentine forward who has successfully negotiated a move away from the club, appears headed for Atletico Madrid.

Alvarez, 24, was reportedly dissatisfied with his playing time despite appearing in 36 of City’s 38 Premier League games the previous season. The 24-year-old was eager to play more as an all-out striker.

The Blues might earn up to £81 million from Alvarez’s exit, and they plan to use the funds to bring in more players.

Express Sport has described Pep Guardiola’s ideal forward line for the upcoming campaign, should they decide to add an attacker to their roster.

City might demonstrate their financial might by signing Eberechi Eze if they had the money to do so.

The attacking midfielder has long been coveted by the Premier League winners, and there have been rumours that last summer, Crystal Palace rejected a last-minute bid from City.

Eze will probably cost a good sum as a full England international; early estimates indicate that a fee of around £68 million will be required.

However, as it appears like a void may soon arise in the City team, Guardiola’s team may consider having Eze return.

Resolved: Jack Grealish departure speculations

Even though the Premier League season begins in less than two weeks, there are still unanswered concerns regarding Jack Grealish’s future.

Grealish, who shone during City’s historic treble victory two years prior, had a forgettable campaign the last time around, which ultimately resulted in his exclusion from England’s Euro 2024 squad.

Grealish still has the support of his boss, though, as Guardiola is optimistic that the former star of Aston Villa will rediscover his best form.

Guardiola declared earlier this summer that he will return. He has had difficulty this season, and as everyone has seen in the last few games, Jeremy [Doku] has advanced incredibly.

“But I’m pretty sure Jack will return to his level from last season.”

Four closed deals validate the new look City attack.

With City having moved the bunch, the 2023 European champions have had a busy summer for their attackers.

Oscar Bobb and James McAtee, two Academy players, are ready to move up to the senior team after making an impression on City’s preseason tour of the US.

Savinho, the lone summer addition made by City thus far, signed a £30 million contract after making an impression at Girona, a City Football Group team, the previous season.

If Eze signs a contract to join City at the Etihad and Alvarez completes his transfer to Madrid later in the transfer window, the Brazilian may be part of four summer deals for the team.

The other star attacker from City to depart this summer is Liam Delap, who paid £20 million to join Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town.
