LONDON, ENGLAND – JANUARY 12: Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United celebrates after Bruno Alejandro Garnacho played the entire 90 minutes for Manchester United in their 3-1 win against Southampton, but sources suggest he want to go from Ruben Amorim’s squad.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (see press image below), Napoli is eager to get the Argentine international to substitute Kvaratskhelia.
Report — Manchester United prepared to transfer an injury-prone player to acquire a £60 million star.
The Rome-based media site has said that Garnacho is willing to accept the transfer to the Italian club to rejoin with former Manchester United teammate, Scott McTominay, who joined the Serie A giants during the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old presently receives approximately 1.5 million euros per season at Old Trafford, while the Naples-based club has proposed a contract that would more than treble his remuneration.
Garnacho is prepared to accept a deal that will yield around 4 million euros annually, totalling 20 million euros or £16.8 million over the next five years.
Antonio Conte’s team is prepared to offer 50 million euros, but the Red Devils are seeking a higher amount.
Relocating to Italy will provide the South American with a significant opportunity to secure the Scudetto this season, since Napoli presently occupies the top position in the standings after 20 matches.
In the ongoing campaign, Garnacho has commenced 11 matches in the Premier League and netted 3 goals. Nevertheless, he has began only once in the past five league matches under Ruben Amorim.
The Portuguese manager favours Amad and Fernandes in the attacking midfield positions of his 3-4-2-1 formation, and the pair has performed exceptionally well recently.
Nonetheless, Garnacho is a skilled player who has the potential to be an asset in the future, and it is reasonable for United to retain him. What is your opinion
