Breaking News: Enzo Maresca’s warning to Jadon Sancho speaks volumes as he ‘falls back into old ways’

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca won’t be concerned because he established the law early. Jadon Sancho has been accused of reverting to his former habits, which led to his dismissal at Manchester United.

After Jamie O’Hara accused the winger of rekindling his problems at Manchester United, Jadon Sancho already knows what Enzo Maresca expects of him at Chelsea.

After having a falling out with Erik ten Hag and losing his best days at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho came to Stamford Bridge this summer determined to make a fresh start. However, he has missed the last several games for Maresca due to illness, a decline in form, and now an injury.

Now that the international break is over, he might be in the running. Even though Sancho’s loan move is expected to become permanent next summer, former Tottenham and Wolves player O’Hara has continued to assert that he has reverted to his “old ways” that led to his exile at Old Trafford.

Maresca, however, will not be concerned by these remarks because he established the rules in a candid, heartfelt conversation with the 24-year-old before to his arrival in west London. Since his first phone chat, in which he outlined exactly what was expected of the winger, he and Sancho have been in agreement.

“Listen, Jadon is one of these players. Maresca acknowledged in September, two weeks after Sancho’s arrival, “I spoke with them before they joined, and one of my messages was if you come here and don’t work properly, you are not going to play.”

“It was an obvious message. For Jadon. “I’m talking to you because I really like you,” I said. We are pleased if you arrive here in the manner we desire. However, it’s better if you don’t come if you don’t put in a lot of effort.”

O’Hara condemned Sancho after his early-season performance, in which he recorded three assists in his first three Premier League appearances, began to wane.

O’Hara told Grosvenor Sport, “Jadon Sancho has been given an opportunity at Chelsea to prove people wrong, but it hasn’t happened yet.” Sancho isn’t as good as many of them, in my opinion, and Enzo Maresca has realised this.

“He went to Chelsea after Manchester United wasted a lot of money on him and it didn’t work out. He initially displayed confidence and brilliance, but it appears that he has already reverted to his previous habits.

Sancho’s issue at Chelsea, in my opinion, is that the team has better players than him; Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke are more important than him. He will remain where he is in the hierarchy unless he makes an effort to create opportunities to make an impression.

Only time will tell if Sancho’s attitude has contributed to his lack of playing time given his recent illness and injuries, but Maresca remained upbeat about the 24-year-old’s early efforts in the summer.

Since his arrival, Jadon has been a productive member of our team. I adore Jadon, and I adore our players,” Maresca has previously stated. “I knew him as a player, and what I’ve witnessed over the past two weeks is exactly what I anticipated.

“With the way we play he is that kind of player who can help us a lot, especially in the last third – when we arrive there so many times and need more quality, more patience, more accuracy.”
