BREAKING NEWS: Man Utd ‘have new key manager target’ as Ten Hag sacking considered

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is scheduled to make a decision regarding the struggling manager, Erik ten Hag. Manchester United ‘have new manager target to rival Gareth Southgate’.

If Erik ten Hag is fired, Manchester United has designated Simone Inzaghi as their favorite managerial candidate.

The Daily Star claims that the two main contenders for the position, should one open up, are the head coach of Inter Milan and former England manager Gareth Southgate.

During the next international break, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the co-owner of United, will decide whether to fire Ten Hag. This means that the manager will have two games left, against Porto and Aston Villa, to keep his job.

After giving the troubled manager a new contract less than three months ago following the team’s worst-ever Premier League season, Ratcliffe is apparently hesitant to fire Ten Hag.

Every move will be discussed and decided upon by the Glazers, chief executive Omar Berrada, and sporting director Dan Ashworth. Southgate’s tight relationship with Ashworth seems to give him the advantage.

Inzaghi and Southgate are regarded as the front-runners if Ten Hag is fired.

With Inter, Inzaghi has won five titles, including the Serie A title the previous season. His current contract is set to expire in less than two years.
