BREAKING NEWS: Man Utd star blasted in ‘scandalous’ claim after receiving international call-up

Following his country’s call-up, a Manchester United player has been the target of harsh criticism.

Christian Eriksen, a star for Manchester United, has come under fire for his inclusion in the most recent Denmark squad. Eriksen has made just 16 league appearances for the Red Devils this season, starting just eight of them and missing the last seven games. Eriksen has not been a regular starter for the team.

Eriksen has been called up by Denmark for their forthcoming friendlies against Switzerland and the Faroe Islands, which will be crucial practice matches before this summer’s Euro 2024, despite his lack of participation at the club level. Former Real Madrid and Denmark star Thomas Gravesen is furious about Eriksen’s inclusion in the squad and the call-ups of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Mikkel Damsgaard, who are in similar circumstances at their respective clubs.

“Christian Eriksen, as we know him, is gone. We must not regress to the idea that it’s only based on merits that he gets selected. Christian Eriksen should not only be selected based on his merits,” Gravesen told Tipsbladet. “Christian Eriksen doesn’t play football anymore. Christian Eriksen sits on the bench and watches football.”

“You just have to have respect for those who put in a lot of effort every day to play football and be successful on the field. That’s something you have to be mindful of. Respect for the labor put forth in the Superliga is required.

But they’re not having any fun! My point is that Pierre-Emile Højbjerg was our best midfield player when he was playing at his peak. Thomas Delaney was the best player in Dortmund when he was playing at his peak. Damsgaard was the best when he was at Sampdoria. Without a doubt, the top leagues overseas are the best when it comes to playing. However, a few players are now making a comeback lacking confidence. Players who don’t return home with a bag of energy are chosen by Kasper Hjulmand.

My argument is that you need to choose a few players who are successful, confident, and have a sense of flow. Indeed, Christian Eriksen has demonstrated his superiority over Nicolai Vallys at his best. However, Nicolai Vallys hasn’t had the opportunity to demonstrate his abilities against players of a higher caliber. When he’s in his gear, give him a chance. When everything is taken into account, Vallys is far superior to Christian Eriksen.

Gravesen continued, “The idea is that we should be able to use these games to integrate players,” in reference to the significance of the forthcoming fixtures. He even picked 26 men to preach to about how important relationships are and how we should do this and that all the time! He is accompanied by Kasper Dolberg as well, who has made some progress but has no business being in the national team lineup. Furthermore, Christian Eriksen is not.

“A player who hasn’t played in two and a half months just cannot be included. When he entered the game against Fulham, which we also lost, he played for 38 minutes. He shouldn’t be given too much playing time for the Danish national team. The Danish national football team is not a fraternity. It’s all about winning, and Kasper Hjulmand has struggled with that ever since Qatar.

“Kasper Hjulmand is completely unimportant! Kasper Hjulmand saw this as a fantastic chance to put some of our emerging players and bubbling talents to the test. They simply decide to take the old guard with them after that. Two matches that are utterly unrelated. Extremely controversial. It’s awful what’s happening. Kasper Hjulmand may not be the best choice to lead Denmark through the European Championship, in my opinion.

Gravesen went on to criticize Denmark’s manager Hjulmand, saying, “It’s completely scandalous that he hasn’t selected Nicolai Vallys.” The fact that our national coach gives Denmark such little consideration when there is a player with those attributes on the field is a scandal of epic proportions. Considering how he is currently playing football. Then, in an effort to keep their relationships intact, they decide to go with Christian Eriksen, a player who has been benched at Manchester United.
