Manchester United has refrained from encouraging rumours Bruno Fernandes is Paris Saint-Germain’s #1 target for this summer; reiterated would need a “huge offer” to persuade them to sell.

Having scored 54 goals and made 41 assists in 159 Premier League games since his £68 million transfer from Sporting Lisbon in 2019, Fernandes has maybe been United’s best and most crucial player.

Considered as one of the most powerful players in the English top-flight, the Portugal star made significant attendance at Euro 2024 for Roberto Martinez’s quarter-finalists.

Several European teams and powerhouses in Saudi Arabia have shown interest in acquiring Fernandes’ signature, so his form has not gone unseen.

Though he said he wanted to stay, the 29-year-old was being strongly linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford at the conclusion of last season and he also said the club had to fulfil his expectations.

Fernandes wants to contend for big medals, but Manchester United only placed eighth last season; so, they will not be included in the Champions League this year.

Having won yet another Ligue 1 championship last season and reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League before a sad loss to final runners-up Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain could surely give Fernandes a shot at Europe’s best club competition.

According to reports in France, PSG has made a remarkable action for Fernandes and plans to bring the midfielder and his United team-mate Jadon Sancho to the French capital this summer.

ESPN claims, however, Manchester United is still laid back regarding Fernandes’ future and thinks the PSG links have been exaggerated.

They have also privately said that he would make a massive offer to get them to sell a player awarded Manchester United’s player of the year three times since he joined the team.

About his future, Bruno Fernandes has said what?
March saw Fernandes declare he “loved” playing for Manchester United and express want to stay, therefore satisfying his aspirations.
