Oliver Glasner responds as Ismaila Sarr arrives at Crystal Palace.
Oliver Glasner responded to the move by explaining why the Senegal winger was targeted in remarks he made to club media as soon as the club announced the arrival.

We’re pleased that Ismaila has chosen to join Crystal Palace since he has experience playing in the Premier League from his time as a Watford player, living in England, and having played a lot of games with Marseille the previous season.

“He has proven he is capable of scoring goals in every year and at every team he has played for. We are thrilled that he will be joining our team because he demonstrated it when playing for Senegal’s national team.

In response, Palace chairman Steve Parish expressed his own reaction, acknowledging that Palace had long appreciated Sarr.

“Ismaïla is someone we have long admired, and we are thrilled to have him join the club.

“He is a player who has demonstrated his abilities in English football as well as on the European and international platforms, and I have no doubt that he will be an asset to Oliver’s team.”

Given that Sarr is a long-term aim, we can be confident that the Eagles have carefully considered their replacement and that this move will be successful.

Why Sarr decided to join Palace
It was the player’s chance to speak after the chairman and manager had finished, and Sarr gave a brief speech outlining his reasons for making the transfer.

“Being at Crystal Palace is a pleasure for me, as the club is excellent.” I appreciate the coach and the Sporting Director for informing me about their initiative, which I agreed to because it seems like a fantastic idea.

“I promise to put in a lot of effort for the team and the supporters both on and off the pitch.”

This is not surprising given how appealing the initiative Palace and Glasner are working on is to Kamada and Riad as well.

This upcoming season, European football is the goal, and Glasner is getting close to having a team capable of achieving it.
